The five most common relationship problems are communication, sex, money, conflict, and trust. All of these have about the same weigh on a relationship and they can altogether or individually make or break a relationship!
Misunderstandings, resulting from poor communication, can easily cause a conflict. Communication involves at least two parties, the speaker and the listener. Speakers often are not clear about what they mean. People often get confused about other people's messages. Listeners also are sources of communication problems, they often fail to listen carefully. They may assume they know what the other person is saying or will say. Just like the speaker, this can result in misunderstandings and often unnecessary conflict.
Both men and woman develop problems in their sex life. Physical and psychological conditions cause sex problems in both. Physical conditions include diabetes, heart disease, neurological disorders, hormonal imbalances, chronic disease, alcoholism and drug abuse. Side effects of certain medications can affect sexual desire and function also. Psychological conditions include work-related stress and anxiety, concern about sexual performance, other problems in the relationship, depression, feelings of guilt, and past sexual trauma.
Straight forward, the biggest money problem is spending more money than you can afford. Whether its buying a house or car you can't afford, or spending all of your extra money on unnecessary luxuries. The more money you spend on things you can't afford and things you don't need, the less money you have to spend on the things that are truly important like your significant other and your family.
Trust problems can be caused while in a relationship or before a relationship ever starts. They can be caused while in a relationship by cheating, sneaking around behind your partners back, sketchy texts or emails, making a decision without consulting your partners opinion or make a decision that goes against your partners opinion. Whether it be the right decision or not it can result in a loss of trust. Problems with trust before a relationship begins can basically be caused by one or all of these issues happening in your partners previous relationships. When this happens some people carry these trust issues into future relationships and automatically don't trust their partner.
Conflict causes people to have anger towards each other, which results in arguments. Some people say that healthy relationships have arguments. But conflict and arguments everyday is not healthy and can eventually destroy a relationship between two people.
